Seda Abreeza Davao Hotel is the newest addition to the ever evolving cityscape of Davao City. Built only this 2013, the hotel had its soft opening last April 2. Seda, Spanish for "silk", replaces it’s earlier-introduced hotel brand, Kukun.

The 186-room hotel is the second of the fourth in a series of Seda Hotels in key cities in the Philippines: thus far, the first Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City in Manila, Seda Centrio in Cagayan de Oro, and Seda Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

Seda Abreeza is a joint venture between Ayala Hotels and Resorts Corporation (AHRC), an Ayala Land subsidiary, and Anflo Management and Investment Corporation (Anflocor), a leading Davao-based conglomerate.

Marketed as an "urban lifestyle" hotel, the 11-storey hotel with its unique minimalist design and a touch of Zen look, aesthetic interiors tempered by warm earth tones, firmly assures travelers unparalleled comfort and modern convenience in a stylish setting.

Its Deluxe Rooms strategically spread from 2nd to 9th floors, each having a total floor area of 28 square meters, are beautifully furnished with King-size beds or twin beds, and complemented with state-of-the art amenities such as 40-inch LED HDTV sets, cutting-edge media panels with HDMI, USB and A/V connectivity, iPod docks, FM stereo,and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet. Other amenities include an executive desk, fully provisioned mini-bar, coffee and tea making facilities, and an in-room safe.

How to get to Seda Abreeza Davao Hotel

Only 20 minutes away from the Davao International Airport, the hotel is located within the well-landscaped and verdant Abreeza commercial complex in Bajada, along J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City and forms part of the 10-hectare mixed-use development center that includes the Abreeza Ayala Mall, an office facility designed for business process outsourcing firms and traditional offices, and the ongoing construction of Abreeza Residences tower. A jeepney stop and a taxi bay is conveniently located at the nearby Abreeza Ayala Mall entrance which makes the hotel very accessible within the city via public transport.

Abreeza Ayala Mall

Abreeza Ayala Mall - Davao  was finally inaugurated and opened its doors to the public last May 12, 2011. The inauguration was attended by Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Land Chairman Fernando Zobel De Ayala, Vice Chairman of Anflo Management and Investment Corporation, Antonio Floirendo Jr, and Vice Mayor Rody Duterte. The occasion was graced by The Honorable Mayor of Davao City, Inday Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio as guest speaker.

The term "Abreeza" was derived from the Italian word “abbraccio” which means "to embrace", or “breeze”in English, and is used to symbolize the Mall's breezy, spacious and relaxed environment, while respecting the natural topography of the land by designing open air garden landscapes that retains the “greening” of the environment. Even the basement parking is sunken with natural paving that allows water to seep back into the ground during rainy season.

Abreeza Ayala Mall is a three-storey ultra-modern shopping mall that sits on a four-hectare space of the sprawling 10-hectare commercial complex along JP Laurel Avenue in Bajada, Davao City. The Mall houses over 300 commercial spaces, and includes four theaters with a three-dimensional cinema, and a huge parking lot; and features lush landscapes of differently-colored mall entrances, three pockets of themed gardens, water features, a mini “rainforest” area, hanging vines, an orchidarium, Al fresco area for dining that smoothly spills out into the themed gardens, and several people-oriented areas that allows shoppers and visitors of the Mall to move about freely from one activity to another on foot. It is a huge "mixed-use" upscale complex that will also include office spaces dedicated to BPO call centers, a boutique hotel, and a high-end residential condominium in its future development. The Mall costs Php 5 billion, and is considered as one of the biggest single investments in Davao City. The Mall itself has generated about 6,000 employees mostly from Mindanao.

In the same complex, Gokongwei-owned Robinsons Mall, reportedly worth Php 800 million, sits in a separate four-storey commercial building within the 10-hectare property.
